The idea behind Photo Talks

Photo Talks is a session that we paln to have with the children at the Loving Community wherein we would be showing them photographs on which they would be encouraged to share their views. This session was conceptualised keeping in mind how important photography has become as an art today. A good photo speaks a million words without saying any. It is this power of photography to express that we have kept in mind while brainstorming about how we could teach the children good values as a leader through photography.
Some key fields in photography include portraiture, landscapes, wildlife photography and abstract photography. Using these 4 key areas, we thought of how leadership could be brought into the picture.

The magic of Portraits.....

Every picture captures the mood.
Every mood has a reason for being so. Are you glum ? If so, why? Are you ecstatic? Why, again?
Hence behind every mood comes a story.
Thus stories are everywhere. Behind every face is a story. As a leader it becomes your responsibility to look at each face knowing the story behind every expression that surfaces on it. Know their story. Respect their lives.
This through portraits would be our lesson to our young leaders.

The depth of the Landscapes....

The landscape ranges far and wide. It stretches across your screen, across the paper showing the world isnt just as small after all! You are but a speck. But that does not make you any less important. For, it is all the specks to join together to create the world as it is today ! Even if one went missing, nothing would be the same.
This is what we would like to show the children through pictures of landscapes. An emphasis on the human element in a vast landscape would help get the message across.

Deep in the jungle...

What teaches us best to live and let live? What teaches us best the importance of cohabilitation? Of the love for nature? It is the wildlife. An so would there be no better way to teach these concepts to the children than through wildlife photography which is becoming better than ever today.

Abstract makes much sense....

One opinion. A million counter opinions.
Every mind is different. It is interesting to see how one picture can be interpreted in so many different ways. Through abstract photography, it becomes evident that one issue could be looked at through many different ways. Hence, as leaders it would be necessary to understand that every decision would be affecting people in different ways for they would be viewed at differently. Thus, through abstract photography, we would like to highlight this point.

Our first photo talk is going to happen soon and we are picture hunting at the moment ! :) We are sure to have a very productive and fun filled sesion!
